Starting to feel like a complete game
Lots happened with this last upload. Big blocks of questions are getting answers and that feels really good.
First of all, there are 22 creatures now. I want 50 in the end but 22 is feeling functional. I'm starting to lay down some standard special abilities too. That makes playing with making new creatures easier since there's a tool box to riff off of.
The section on the jobs the player characters can take got a big upgrade. Now there's a lot of texture to the casts the players are going on. They can reject a job and the GM can pull another card and offer a new one.
There's more spaceship systems like a landing craft. Why do you need a landing craft? I don't know, but there it is. Also rail guns.
I was a little worried that I wouldn't be able to break out of the limited scope I had set up for the game. It's looking like I can get enough variation out of the existing rules for this to feel like it's not just a shooter.
